No, it didn't help because I didn't like those experiences when they happened and I don't want to relive them. I have some strange family members of my own. It kind of freaked me out when I met some of them as a kid but, I wouldn't exactly call it a learning experience though. The author made him interesting to the readers by having him in a nut house and exzibiting the qualities that got him in there.
